Mohammed’s Story
From the Brink of Danger to the Light of Life In remote areas suffering from harsh living conditions and poor access to healthcare, innocent children fight silent battles for survival. In the Dehal Ahmed area, the story of a child no more than six months old began; his tiny body was struggling under a burden far beyond his age... this is Mohammed Saleh. Health Condition Description Mohammed Saleh arrived suffering from Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) accompanied by dangerous health complications. This put his life in real danger, making his condition critical and requiring urgent intervention. Urgent Medical Intervention and Life-Saving Referral Thanks to early detection and rapid response, the child was referred to the Therapeutic Feeding Center (TFC) at Zinjibar Hospital. There, he received the necessary medical care, his complications were managed, and his condition was closely monitored until he was stabilized. Continuous Care via the Mobile Medical Clinic The treatment journey did not stop there; it continued through the Mobile Medical Clinic, funded by AlSafa Humanity and implemented by Estijabah Foundation. The clinic continued to visit the area weekly, providing nutritional treatment and health monitoring, while also educating his family on proper nutrition principles to ensure sustained improvement. From Suffering to Recovery... The Healing Journey With commitment to treatment and regular follow-up, signs of improvement began to show on Mohammed day by day until he reached full recovery. His suffering was transformed into a story of hope, and smiles returned to his family's faces after a long period of fear and anxiety. The Impact of Humanitarian Intervention in Saving Children Mohammed Saleh’s story embodies the true impact of integrated humanitarian intervention. It confirms the vital role played by mobile medical clinics in saving children’s lives in remote areas, granting them a new chance to live and grow with dignity

From the Sidewalks of Labor to the Passion for Learning… Ahmad Reclaims His Lost Childhood.
The Story of Ahmad’s Dreams Behind every figure in the statistical records of social institutions and associations, beats the heart of a child waiting for an opportunity. At just twelve years old, the dreams of "Ahmad" — a pseudonym — did not go beyond securing his daily meal. However, a helping hand reached out to rescue him from the harshness of the streets and return him to his rightful place behind a school desk. Ahmad’s story began when the winds of family separation shattered his home's stability, leaving him suddenly without emotional or financial shelter. Instead of carrying his school bag every morning, he bore burdens far beyond his tender years, wandering through markets in search of a meager daily wage to survive, amidst the clamor of vendors and the cruel circumstances that stole his childhood. The Turning Point Society’s eyes were not blind; a local vendor noticed the fading spark in the young boy’s eyes and coordinated his referral to the Social Affairs Office. That moment was a "lifeline." A specialized team received him, embracing his fears before his needs, and began the journey of self-restoration through intensive psychosocial support sessions that restored his lost sense of security. Through the "Strengthening Community Resilience through Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Youth and Children" project—funded by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), in partnership with Deem for Development Organization, and implemented by Estijabah Foundation for Humanitarian Aid and Relief—a new roadmap was drawn for Ahmad, including: Psychological Containment: Sessions to rebuild self-confidence and emotional expression. Integrated Care: Providing basic needs to ensure he lives with dignity. Returning to the Future: Educational rehabilitation and enrollment in school after a period of forced interruption. A Dream Reborn Today, Ahmad no longer runs through the markets chasing a living; instead, he runs through his schoolyard chasing his dreams. With a smile lighting up his face and a bag carrying his ambitions, Ahmad has returned as a diligent student. He now dreams of becoming a beacon of hope for other children who face circumstances similar to his own. "Ahmad’s story is not just about returning to school; it is a victory for human will when it finds genuine support."
